We took over a Belgian toy story
In January 2025, we became the second family to take care of Egmont. A small Belgian toy studio that started in a garage in 1994.
We kept the workshop in Germany — the hands that paint each lamp, the same brushes, the gesture that hasn't changed in thirty years. We kept the characters our parents already knew. We kept the heritage.
Then we changed the rest. New stories. New designs. A renewed promise: a toy that lasts past childhood, gets passed on, and never beeps.

How it all started
Founded in 1994, Egmont Toys began as a small toy business in a garage, with a big dream: to create timeless toys, crafted with care, and filled with wonder. Over the years, the collection grew and found its way into little hands all around the world.
In 2025, Amaury Timmermans took over the company. As a father of two young children, his dream is to make children play again. That passion is what made him fall in love with Egmont Toys — toys that spark imagination, invite wonder, and carry childhood’s magic forward.

What we won't do
We won't make a toy that beeps when you press it. We won't replace wood with plastic to save a euro. We won't sell something that won't still be loved in ten years.
Each Egmont lamp is finished by hand, by people who have been finishing Egmont lamps for years. Every Miniature Friend has its own personality, drawn by hand. Every pull-along is sized for tiny hands learning to pull, not for a margin spreadsheet.
